Arrival from eastern Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary:
West motorway Vienna - Salzburg (A 1), exit Wals-Lofer, border crossing ..., then via Bad Reichenhall to the Steinpaß border crossing, Lofer, direction Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Or
West motorway Vienna - Salzburg (A 1) to the Salzburg junction (Knoten Salzburg), then take the Tauern motorway (A 10) towards Villach, Bischofshofen junction, take the B311 Pinzgau federal road towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Arrival from Germany
Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8) to Siegsdorf exit. Then follow the signs for Inzell. Continue until you reach the turn-off for Lofer. Cross the border at the Steinpaß mountain pass and continue to Lofer. From there continue to Saalfelden and then towards Zell am See. In Maishofen you will reach the turn-off for the Glemmtal Valley. From here it is just 14 km to Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Arrival from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia (Villach)
Tauern motorway Villach - Salzburg (A10), Bischofshofen junction, take the B311 Pinzgau federal road towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Tauern motorway Villach - Salzburg (A10), to Spittal, next turn-off to Mallnitz – Böckstein rail car shuttle. Continue on the B311 Pinzgau federal road towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Or
Arrival from Italy (Brenner) Brenner motorway (A 13) towards Innsbruck, exit Innsbruck East, continue along the Inntal motorway (A 12) towards Wörgl, exit Wörgl West, continue along federal road 312 to Saalfelden, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Arriving by train
The nearest station is Zell am See. The ÖBB (the Austrian rail operator) will be happy to provide train information. From Zell am See a bus service operated by Postbus leaves every 1-2 hours for Saalbach Hinterglemm. There is also a taxi rank outside the railway station in Zell am See.
Arriving by plane
The nearest international airport is Salzburg. All major airlines operate flights to and from Salzburg. Shuttle buses also run from Salzburg to our region.
