Winter hikes in Saalbach-Hinterglemm: out and about with a walking guide
In Saalbach and Hinterglemm you have the opportunity, twice a week, to experience winter hiking in a group, together with a walking guide. They always have a walk leaving from Saalbach on a Tuesday, and from Hinterglemm on a Thursday, both of which start at 10:00 at the respective tourist information offices, and last for three hours. Taking part in a winter hike is free for you as a guest of the Hotel Hasenauer.
Snowshoe hikes: winter walking off the footpaths
The ski schools in Saalbach-Hinterglemm offer guided snowshoe walks – these type of winter walks allow you to slip safely across the soft snow in big snowshoes. Away from the winter footpaths, you can stomp around in pristine snow right up to the summits. You can buy warm, fashionable and practical clothing for your winter hikes right at the sports shop in the hotel (with special prices for guests of the Hotel Hasenauer).
All that winter hiking tends to make your rather hungry. Thankfully, at the Hotel Hasenauer there will be a four-course surprise menu awaiting you, along with a cosy room where you can get plenty of sleep.
